Reflection on Hazza’s presentation

Topic: WASTE WATER
Hazza began his presentation in a smooth and dynamic way,
where he explained the meaning of water and its importance to living organisms.
After that, he started to review the most important points that he would be
talking about , and then he proceeded to talk about the most important sources
of the water in the world and how to extract it; during that time Mr. Hedley
asked him for water sources in the UAE.
Hazza's answer was that, desalinated water and then he
continued talking about the multiple ways to store water, and also dealt with talking about wasting water, and he gave an example about Dubai Water Park. He
also added a very important point which is water leaking in many places,
particularly in housing, and he concluded about the proposed solutions to
reduce the problem of wasting water.
Body language and eye contact were present dramatically, and the order of the slides
was smooth and clear for all
The response by the audience was good as they dealt with the
topic very well. Hazza was able to deliver information and idea's about the
problem of waste water in the world and how serious it is.
We have benefited from valuable new information such as:
1- The problem has
become a major concern to the world.
2- Modern methods of water conservation.
3- Adoption by the United Arab Emirates of desalination.
The show was very interesting and I enjoyed it all.

Subject: Steve Jobs
Othman's presentation was about Steve Jobs, the famous
entrepreneur and the Apple company owner.
He started the first slide
with some information about Steve's early life and he said that his full name
is Steven Paul Jobs, and he was born on February 24, 1955. After that he talked
about Steve's qualifications, and he explained how Steve started with Apple; also
he talked about the stages of development and the most important challenges and the
difficulties which Steve faced in the beginning, and he ended the display by the news
of Steve's death.
Othman's body languge was stong and he answered all
the questions, which shows the full consciousness of the subject which he
chose and the students also enjoyed and benefited from the new information about Steve
Jobs.

The chairman Mohammed Khamis opened the meeting at 11:30
1. Seat belt.
Mansoor said it is very important.
Mohammed Khamis feels uncomfortable when wearing it.
Fahed said I know that, but you have to familiarize yourself
with it, because it can save your life or at least protect you from serious
injuries, Mohammed was convinced of its importance and said of course. Mansour do
you think that the media have a role in educating people about the importance
of wearing seat belts. Fahed said certainly, and I suggested the media to
allocate advertisements by famous people such as ball players and singers
because they are loved by people.
2. Car maintenance
Mohammed Khamis said: we must take
the car for regular maintenance and
we must change the tires every year.
Mansoor said: it also involves
daily inspection of the vehicle such as tires and turn signals, car lights and
engine leaks.
3. Mobile phones
Hedley asked if it is possible for people not to use mobile
phone when driving. Fahed said: there is no chance.
Hedley said: how
about using hand free instead of holding it along the way. Fahed and Mohammed agreed,
but Mansoor did not agree and said better not to use when driving, because the
driver loses the focus and it’s one of the main causes of accidents.
4. Excessive speed
Mohammad asked whether the radar can reduce traffic
accidents. Fahed and Mansoor agreed and both of them said it is better to increase
the number of them. Hedley said police can monitor car speed by the camera. Fahed
points that Adco company ,where he works, already fixed a device which can
record all the details including the speed and they punish the violators.
5. Unsafe weather condition
Mansoor said we must not drive during the bad weather such
as the fog or dusty atmosphere. Mohammed Khamis agreed and he mentioned the
tragic incident that occurred five years ago in Ghantoot area and many people died due to heavy fog.
In conclusion we thought that:
1-
Seat belts can save
your family's life.
2-
Let your eyes always
focused on the road and forget about the mobile phone.
3-
Do not forget regular
maintenance of the vehicle and donot skimp in changing the tire.
4-
Stop the car immediately
in the case of weather change.
5-
Everyone must join hands in
order for public safety.

for the people by announcements
Hedley mentioned some examples about the seat belt cases in the UAE and compared it with the UK.

: mobile phones are one of the biggest
problems that can happen when you drive the car ; is that right Mansoor ?
Mansoor : yes because some people use while the a drive the car and this is
happening here in the UAE . Mohd Ismail :we should make the people use hand free speakers for the phones to reduce
the accidents .
MK : what do you guys think about the speed
limit ? Mansoor :yes of course the speed
limit is the main problem for most of
the car accidents and we should create many ideas to reduce the car accidents .
Fahad: make some advertisements about the speed limit problem and the benefits
they will acquire by avoiding speeding

: some accidents happen from the careless maintenance .Mohd Ismail: yes
some people check up the car for the main things like tires and lights
which cause accidents. Fahad : don’t drive in the bad weathere.g. foggy
weather. Mohd : if there are any accidents we should open the emergency
light.
In
conclusion we thought that:
1-Fasten the seat belt is saving our life and it،s important for our life We should raise awareness for the people who didn’t fasten the belt.
